12.5mm Soundbloc Plasterboard

This 12.5x2400x1200mm acoustic plasterboard is designed for use on walls and ceilings where higher levels of sound insulation are required. It has a denser core than standard plasterboard, providing improved acoustic performance along with increased impact resistance and enhanced fire resistance.

It is commonly used with the ReductoClip system on walls and ceilings to help control sound across a wide range of frequencies. The tapered edge supports smoother skim finishes, while the stronger core allows for secure wall fixings.

A minimum order of four boards applies.

• Pale blue face with brown reverse
• Dimensions are 2400mm by 1200mm by 15mm
• Coverage per board is 2.88 square metres
• Complies with BS EN520 type A and D
• Weight per board is 36.86 kilograms which equals 12.8 kilograms per square metre
• Thermal conductivity is 0.24 W per mK
• Class O acoustic plasterboard suitable for walls and ceilings
• Thermal resistance for 15mm thickness is 0.06 square metres K per W
• Two boards totalling 30mm provide a fire rating of 60 minutes or more
• Tapered edge for smoother skim finishes
• Denser core for stronger fixings and improved sound insulation
